John O'Sullivan, 20, is the star of a heist that's more street than safe-cracking. The feds say he's swiped £1m worth of streetlamps and fancy lanterns from places like County Durham, Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Thames Valley, Essex, and Hertfordshire.
38 counts of theft, bruv, and some of the lamps are even Grade II listed. O'Sullivan's due to appear at Stevenage Magistrates' Court on August 5. His parents, Anna and Richard O’Sullivan, are also in it deep for handling the stolen goods, set to face court a week later. The old bill's got them cornered, but the real question is: what do you even do with all those streetlamps?
