SMUGGLER SNUBBED: Albanian Suspect Charged with Organising Boat Crossings

The National Crime Agency (NCA) swooped on Redhill, Surrey, yesterday, Thursday 25 June, and cornered Vilson Halili, a 40-year-old Albanian national. After a good grilling, Halili was slapped with two counts of conspiring to facilitate illegal immigration for crossings in 2021 and 2022. The charges didn’t stop there: he’s also facing fraud over suspected fake ID documents and money laundering. Halili is expected to make his first appearance at Guildford Magistrates’ Court today, Friday 26 June. Looks like the waters just got a lot rougher for this alleged people mover.
