Crombie claimed he showered her with luxury clothes and gold, but Hadfield insisted she got nothing from the deal except a takeaway meal once. Judge John Thackray KC saw through it all and deemed Hadfield a “willing participant.” Crombie was slapped with two years and three months in the clink, while Hadfield got a suspended sentence, 200 hours of unpaid work, and 15 days of rehab.
