78-YEAR-OLD PISTOL WHIPPED: Dauphin RCMP Nab Senior in Massive Firearm Trafficking Bust

· 🇨🇦 Canada · 2026-07-15 · 1 min read

It’s never too late to get dinged, eh. The RCMP cornered Inky Mark, a spry 78-year-old from Dauphin, Manitoba, after months of sleuthin'. On July 7, they kicked down two doors and seized an arsenal: 439 firearms, an antique cannon, ammo, and over $300k in cash. The boys found the operation after a tip-off about illegal weapons sales south of the border.

Assistant Commissioner Scott McMurchy didn’t mince words: "The illegal trafficking of prohibited weapons is a serious offence that threatens public safety." Mark’s charged with firearm trafficking, possession of tampered firearms, and a heap of other counts. He was remanded into custody but later released on conditions. The investigation's far from over, and the RCMP’s diggin' deep to trace every weapon. This one’s a real doozy, folks. You don’t see this kind of operation every day, especially not runnin’ by someone pushin’ 80. Stay tuned for more updates as they unfold.
